FYidoctors Brings Free Eye Care to Torontonians in Need

Here at FYidoctors, we truly believe in the transformative power of vision. Unfortunately, many Canadians can’t afford to visit an eye care professional or purchase much needed eyewear. As a result, serious vision issues often go undiagnosed and untreated, making an already difficult life all that much harder.

That’s why this past fall we teamed up with VSP (a leader in eye care benefits), as well as Buck Consultants (a Xerox Company) and the United Way, to provide a mobile eye care clinic offering free eye exams and glasses to Torontonians in need.

We hit the streets of the GTA in a 40-foot-long, state-of-the-art mobile eye care clinic. Over a three-day period we were able to help over 150 Toronto residents get access to no-cost eye exams and glasses—with our very own Dr. Gary Gimpel joining a team of optometrists from FYidoctors and Vision Source who volunteered their time and expertise to help make it all possible.
